Everyone meet Yankee

Since my last completely honest post went so well here is another for you

Yankee was brought to us as a 7yo 15 hand begginer safe qh gelding. Which that he is not. He is mean in no way shape or form but he’s not a kids horse. Yankee has been mis treated by pervious owners and I will disclose all info as to why I say that. When yankee was brought to us it was told to us that he had to be bitted to each side and lunged both ways before getting on or he would not turn.... (read more) They labeled him as just being a azz about things. But for anyone that has or knows of a azz whole horse when they don’t want to do something they don’t just lock their necks they buck they rear they bolt they get barn sour, none of this was his problem he was resististing the bit. After getting him home and having the equine dentist come out it was determined that Yankee had major hooks and some abnormal wear on his teeth from not having them done regularly or they were done improperly. With that being said yankee has had his teeth done and eats fine but we have decided that since a bit hurt him so much we will no longer use one on him. Granted I said he has abnormal wear meaning out side of bottom teeth are worn but THEY are still there they do not require being removed and he is happy the way he is. We ride yankee in a hack to prevent any trama from pervious owners not recognizing pain signs and he’s as happy as can be that way.

Yankee will wtc stop back and neck rein all in his hack. He is not a kids horse as he does have some get up and go when you ask. He leads loads clips ties and baths. Loves ear scratches. Stands to be saddled and mounted. Stands for the ferrier like a pro.

Yankee is up todate on teeth deworming feet and vaccines he does need a coggins test pulled which can be arranged.
