LOCATED IN CEDAR CITY, UTAH! Lucky is one of a kind and the total package! Lucky is a six-year-old gelding who has it all: looks to spare, a stout build, an exceptional pedigree, and a heart of gold. He’s the type of horse people dream of owning. Lucky has been in our training program for the better part of two years now and he has continually exceeded our expectations. I love his quiet nature and easy going disposition. He is a great arena horse, as well as an exceptional trail horse.... (read more) He has a nice handle on him and will side pass, neck rein, stop on your seat, and move off your legs with simple and soft cues. He has the best lope I have ridden on a Rocky Mountain horse. Lucky has been extensively trail ridden. We have trail ridden Lucky all over Utah in various types of terrain ranging from the iconic desert floor of Zion to the high mountains. He has always impressed us with his ability to handle technical terrain and his sure footedness. He’s been around wildlife, cattle, traffic, dogs, heavy equipment, and a myriad of other “scary” things you might expect to encounter on the trail and has handled them all well. He’s also done countless water crossings, and crosses deadfall and other obstacles that we frequently encounter on the trail. He’s been ridden out alone, as well as in groups. He has been camping, has been highlined, and has ponied other horses. I would describe Lucky as confident, uncomplicated and loving. He enjoys being around people and loves to be doted on. He frequently greets me at the gate and is simply a pleasure to be around and work with. Lucky has such a wonderful presence about him. He stands 15.1 and has strong, correct conformation. He is red roan in color. He is one of the brightest roans that I have seen. He almost looks completely white in the summer. He has a gorgeous face with perfectly tipped ears and soft eyes. His mane is long and thick, and his forelock almost touches his nose. He is always a farm favorite when we have visitors and he gets a lot of attention wherever he goes. Lucky is double registered Kentucky Mountain and Rocky Mountain. His pedigree is stacked with great horses. He is a direct son of Sonny’s Silver Dollar, who is probably the most prolific roan stallion in the breed. His dam is a mare named Anna’s Candy, who is also a great producer herself. Lucky’s maternal sibling is a well known stallion who stands in Canada and his full sibling is a stallion who stands in Germany. He is one of the most versatile gaited horses that we’ve owned and we believe he could excel in just about any direction. He has enough capability and skill for just about any level of rider to enjoy. MORE INFO AT visit our website or call Kayla at (seven zero two) two zero five - zero four seven six.
