Additional Comments
"Shotgun" 20 yrs. 15.2 hands Gelding
Broke to ride/drive has new shoes on, loads himself in trailers. Likes to ride backwards in stock trailer if you don't tie him
Doesn't pull back easy to halter bridle saddle clip wash etc
Bought shotty, 4 years ago he was put out of a job during COVID he was a double carriage pulling horse in Louisiana were he worked full time on the streets.
He has not been pulled with since
He rides bareback, goes threw anything your man enough to take him through and doesn't get excited about much.... (read more) He occasionally will spook but it's more annoying than scary, just a freeze.
He's been on several trail rides, we mainly stayed local, kanopolis, El Dorado lake, pasture checking, road riding friends sleepover spare mule , night riding because it's so hot! etc etc....he lives with cows and is the herd boss of the other horses and mules.
Walks, trots and if you can whip in spur enough you can get an occasional frumpy lope.
He likes to walk.
He is annoyingly easy to catch so much that his pasture name is road block cause he's always in the way, or sneaking out the gate.
I had no intention of selling this mule I love him and I know I can't replace him for what I'm asking for him,
But I have no time to ride anymore and every animal were keeping back is retired, or my kids horses.
The flaws :
Shotgun loves his buddies, get separated on a ride he has the loudest bray you've ever heard till he can see them again.
Shotgun does not neck rein, and has an old injury on his r front foot that makes him in un-usable for mountains or super hilly riding I got X-rays he will bob His head and be sore after) shoes make him so much better flat riding occasional crossings he's fine.
Swishes his tail at you when you ask for more gates, he can be lazy.
He's a good mule, anyone that has mules knows there are two categories good and bad, he is not bad.
Don't need help selling.. he needs a good home with some activity.
