Bigfoot aka Big John is an attractive 16.2 Hand, 5 year old black Friesian Draft cross gelding that’s very gentle and well trained. He has nice big feet and good bone. This horse is a pleasure to ride and work with. He collects up well, is smooth traveling in all gates, lopes out on cue, takes his leads and stops like a dead end street when you ask. He has a good one hand neck rein and is user friendly to operate. Backs soft and side passes with ease to work the gates.... (read more) Bigfoot is settled and solid to ride out anywhere, from our busy neighborhood streets to our rugged mountain trails. He handles all that we ride past in our urban environment with confidence and ease, from the neighborhood dogs charging up at us to the mini farm as well as all motor vehicles, random stuff out on the curb and the landscapers. He is equally good to ride out on the trails and navigates our steep rocky terrain really well. He is happy to lead, follow, ride quietly in a group of horses or out alone. Crosses the river, downed timber, trail obstacles etc. He is sure footed and solid at navigating our steep rocky hills as well. This is an extremely good natured horse with no vices, bad habits or issues of any kind. Bigfoot has previously been used on the ranch and at the feedlot for pasture roping, sorting and moving cattle. He has had some professional training in the arena as well. He is very handy horse for his size yet is also user friendly to ride and work with and is quiet minded and kind. Good about everything from tying, tacking, mounting, bathing, shoeing, loading and hauling. He stands quiet for the farrier and hops right in the trailer. He is currently shod in the front but goes barefoot. This is a very nice horse with a bright future for several riding disciplines. 100% safe, sane and sound. You will love him!
