Rolex is an attractive, well made and gentle grade 8 year old, 14.2 Hand buckskin gelding with good foot and bone and color to match! This is a get along kind of horse turned out with all other horses and never causes us any grief. In the arena Rolex has a good one hand neck rein and an awesome stop. He is handy and moves out with ease and with light cues. Takes his leads and will side pass to open and close the gates. He is still learning how to rate speed and hold collection but is getting better with every ride.... (read more) He is a very solid and safe horse to ride out around our neighborhood and on the trails. Rolex rides quietly past all that we encounter in our urban environment including all of the fast passing vehicles, motorcycles and bicycles. He handles the farm animals and the usual charging and barking dogs that run up at us well. On the trails Rolex will ride quietly in any position in a group of horses. He will happily lead, respectfully follow and is content to go out on his own as well. He navigates our steep rugged terrain very well and will pick his way through the rocks with sure footed precision. Crosses the river, creeks, downed timber etc and handles himself like a pro going up and down steep hills. He is a pleasure to ride out anywhere on. This is a great horse with a very trainable mind. He’s a solid outside using horse that has been used on the ranch and at the feed lot for sorting and moving cattle. He’s good to tie, tack, bridle, mount, bathe, shoe, load and haul. Rolex is 100% sound and has no vices.
