Oakley is the perfect All-Arounder and is a jack of all trades type. He is 6yo, 14.2-3h. With trail riding, camping, ranch riding, and western dressage experience - the sky is the limit!
He has a fantastic dressage foundation which will set him up for success in any discipline. He has been showing western dressage and some intro ranch versitility the past year and a half with his adult ameture owner with great results. He is a brave, adjustable, and sensitive horse.... (read more) Has never offered to buck, rear, or bolt. With that being said, he is young and athletic and can be a more forward ride. Has an above average walk and trot, but his lope could use some finishing for showing.
He is always the very best horse on the trail. Oakley is like a 4 wheeler - will cross creeks, ditches, logs, and navigate rocky terrain with ease. Will lead or follow in a group and can go for hours. Also happy to stand tied or high-line. He does not need shoes or boots and has no issues going barefoot on rocky trails. He has fantastic feet.
Oakley is very athletic and would be a great fit for someone who wants a horse for a job. Whether it is showing, ranching, or trail riding. Could also possibly be a good fit for a more experienced handy riding kid wanting to compete in 4H events. Would not recommend for someone just beginning unless working with a trainer due to his forward nature. He neck reins, self loads in the trailer, stands great for the farrier, is an easy keeper, and is very neat in a stall. He is truly a great horse with a hilarious personality.
