Additional Comments
Chico is an approx 18-20 year old, 16 hand, beautiful black, gelding. He is a large muscled foundation quarter horse who has been rock solid sound and healthy! This boy is a tank. He has been used as a lesson, lease and therapy interaction horse for the past 3 years. Chico has been used for arena work in several programs, has had a lot of trail experience and also did Western before we bought him.
Chico is perfect for vet and farrier and walks right on the trailer.... (read more) Chico loves his job in the program and could continue doing that type of work or would excel as a horse for an individual or family pleasure or trail horse. Chico is not a jumper or high level competition horse. We popped him over some jumps when making the video and he did well but we did not use him as a jumping horse. Chico is a big boy and loves food so although he can be ridden by a beginner, it is best he is lead by a more experienced handler as he will pull to grass to eat : )
Note: If exact age is important have vet estimate as we do not have papers and we are estimating as well. He is extremely well muscled and in excellent condition and has never been even slightly off.
Update: We are reclaiming our stable as our private facility and only doing very minimal lessons or other programs. This is your opportunity to try several horses in one spot and to have the opportunity to buy horses that would not normally be for sale. These are the horses that I searched across the country to find and now they are all in one place for your choosing. The types of horses available include:
1. Kid/Beginner safe horses that are rock solid, balanced at walk, trot, canter and some that also jump.
2. The impossible to find lesson horses.
3. Performance horses for jumping ranging from green to competing.
4. All horses have experience with a variety of riders, indoor arena, outdoor arena and trail riding.
