WONDER PONY!! DOB 2017
BlackBird the “Wonder Pony” is looking to melt your heart. She had such fun with her first rider. There were weekend fun shows, trails, goofing around at the barn. She loves rodeo, and games. There are many handful's of ribbons, from each event, that decorate the walls. She is ready for a new rider, to love as much as the first. From her bluff top pasture she dreams of being the sidekick to the next young cowpoke.... (read more) BlackBird is 12.2 hands (she thinks that she is 15 hands, and we haven't told her any different. Shhhh), 1/4 Arab, 3/4 Shetland. BlackBird is a registered Shetland Sport Pony. She is 7 years old. Her first girl just outgrew her, but not before working with a dedicated trainer from green. Groundwork was started as a yearling. Under saddle starting at age 3. Blackbird had daily lessons for a year, and weekly after that.
We will only let her go to a family who will use her for small riders. She is not a camp pony. She is way too talented for that! She has been trained in barrels and competed in MN High School Rodeo in barrels, poles, goating, and roping. She has done clinics in cutting and roping, and loves running among the cows. She has had jumping lessons too. She loves gaming shows and trailers and ties with no issue. Liberty work is also something she will enjoy after she knows you. This last year was full of Competitive Mounted Orienteering and trail rides.
She is fantastic for both the vet and farrier. She is light in the mouth, and isn't spooked easily. I can't think of anything she can't do. I have references to her abilities and good natured spirit. I will need references for you too. A location inspection will be required before a Bill of Sale is signed. This is my daughter's first love. We won't sell her to just anyone.
