About Bandit:
Bandit is a very dependable and friendly horse with a lovely, floaty movement. Although he’s very calm and submissive in a herd he can be seen from time to time running around and being playful with his friends. Because he trusts people and likes to work he’s pretty easy to catch in a pasture. He's been in training now for about 5 months learning how to do all the things that a good trail horse needs to know how to do.... (read more) Bandit ties well, his feet are easy to handle, and he’s used to wearing a big heavy western saddle. In the round pen or arena Bandit might seem a little lazy unless you make things fun for him or incorporate treats into your time together. Bandit thinks being out on trail is way more exciting than arenas and round pens and he will feel a little less “whoa motivated” when he’s out having adventures. On trail he’s really clever at thinking through how to cross obstacles like creeks, ditches, and fallen trees, and little things like dogs and cyclists don’t scare him. The worst thing to be said about Bandit is that he is still trying to figure out how to ride in the slant load trailer facing forward (he prefers to ride in the trailer facing backwards), and he is convinced that all the other horses are facing wrong way. On trail Bandit is brave and forgiving, but, being an introvert… when he is afraid he tends to not express his fear quite as much as some other horses. Bandit would be good for someone looking for a horse that is naturally quieter and lower energy.
