⚡️Looking for a new home for this sweet boy!!!⚡️
“Slick” is an 18 year old paint gelding around 16hh. Don’t let his age fool you though! He’s got the energy of an 8 year old! He does well for the vet, farrier, grooming, and to pick hoofs but he can be a bit antsy in cross ties. I would not recommend him for a complete beginner because he does have some trust issues and can be a bit nervous/spooky at times until he trusts you.... (read more) He’s not aggressive at all though! He hasn’t tried to do anything remotely mean to me while i’ve had him. I would keep him but I will be going to college in August and I just don’t have the time or knowledge to work with him like he needs. I’ve also had some unexpected financial issues come up right after I got him and those have to come first. He would be perfect for a confident advanced beginner or an intermediate that can spend time with him and ride him everyday. He’s also a fabulous trail buddy! He has some hunter jumper experience (won first place in a couple shows) and loves to go swimming. He is barefoot and not on any supplements. However he is a bit thin so he definitely could stand to gain a couple hundred pounds. He doesn’t have any previous or current health issues and is completely sound, also comes with a copy of his current negative coggins. He does great in a stall or in the pasture and he is fine in a herd as well, he can be picky about mares though and typically does better with older ones. I am asking 4️⃣⭕️⭕️⭕️ but open to offers if able to come get him soon. I am located in Abingdon, Va and he will also come with his english saddle.
