This colt was shown in a halter futurity as a weanling and since then has been shown in halter and showmanship at smaller shows. He's a head turner with a stout build and a nice crease down his back. His full brother was champion the following year at the same show. He currently stands 15.1 and should finish out about 15.2. Was started as a 2 yo and has been ridden in many arenas, both indoor and outdoor, as I haul horses all year long to train the youngsters.... (read more) He is easy to handle both on the ground and under saddle. He has experience with all aspects of grooming, stalling and hauling. He can be turned out with virtually any horse, from a yearling to a broodmare and he gets along fine. He is a tad on the lazy side but when you ask him to go he complies, even when asked for a lope. He's a pretty mover and tends to stay collected naturally, even in a snaffle bit. He is responsive to spurs without being afraid of them and is beginning to yield nicely to lateral leg cues. I can see him being successful at a wide variety of things from pleasure to roping to reining. We had three foals this year so we're heavy on the babies and we need the room when weaning starts. Really beginning to enjoy this guy but wanted to offer him early enough in the season that his new owner can get him going in the direction they want while he's still young and moldable. He has a great start and will make someone a solid mount. Current on farrier, worming, vaccines. Contact me if interested in some short videos of this guy under saddle.
