Here is a horse that you do not see around very easily. Espresso is a four year old Buckskin Gypsy cross gelding that stands 14 hands tall. He has to be one of the happiest, most willing horses we have ever had in our barn. He absolutely loves people and loves to have all the attention that you can give. When you look at him going about he truly looks like he is wearing a smile on his face all the time. He does not get offended about anything and will try his best to please you no matter what you ask him to do.... (read more) We got him from the farm that raised him and he was started with a kind hand and since he had such a great personality, he was used to give beginner riders lessons on and gave them the confidence they needed to learn to ride and love horses. He has a very smooth jog and great canter. He knows his leads and can direct rein and neck rein as well. He has a great walk where he just marches along with his carefree style and look. He has been taken on lots of different trail rides and is not afraid to lead the group or he is happy to take a spot in the middle somewhere. If you need to ride away from the group he will do so without giving you a fuss. He goes through water no problem no matter if it is a creek or deeper river. He will walk over the logs and really watch where he puts his feet so that you don’t have to. He will be a horse that will always be looking out for his person. He will give you the confidence if you need it, but he is also just as fun and simple to ride for the more experienced rider just looking for that solid mount. He not only is a great horse to ride, he drives just as well too. He has a great trot in the carriage and does not mind being on the road with large trucks or fast moving traffic. He stands well to harness and hitch and will stand great in the cross ties for you to fuss all over him. He is wearing shoes all around because of where we ride and does great for the farrier. He is a great size for all different types of riders and stands so well when you get on next to anything that you find to help you mount. He truly is a sweet soul and we feel confident that he will melt your heart as he did ours. If Espresso is the horse that you have been looking for, please feel free to give Duane Yoder of Buckeye Acre farm a call @ our phone number to learn more.
