Wonderful trail mare looking for a new trail companion. Only selling because I have to take a step down as far as trail riding goes and she is not super happy doing arena work all the time. She has been trail ridden through mountains and will go through streams, over bridges, on one lane trails and ride through open pastures. Rides great in a group or on her own. She will happily gait the whole day if you let her. She stands quietly tied to the trailer or you can hi-ti her without issue as well.... (read more) She will ride in the arena but her heart isn't in it. I have jumped her a bit and done a lot of pole work with her. She did a Cavaletti clinic last year and a working equitation seminar and she did splendidly in both. The perfect lady the whole day. She is happiest being ridden 3 times a week but she can also be left alone for a week or two and get right back into work without issue. She will give you her all every time you get on her back. I would say she is for an advanced beginner just because she does have speed with her walk and will not just amble about. With that being said, my 8 year old son has been riding her for 3 years and he does just fine (no riding experience prior to her). She is up to date on all vaccines, had her teeth done in March, and gets her feet trimmed every 6 weeks. She is barefoot but she has had shoes on before and does fine either way. I typically only shoe her if I know we are going on very rocky terrain. She lives outside 24/7 but she has been stalled in the past. She is happy either way, though I think she enjoys the freedom of movement being out 24/7. She loads just fine in both a slant and a straight load trailer.
