Edit: 7-25… Apache is temporarily on hold, awaiting g the arrival of a deposit
Witten Creek Apache was born 4-5-2024. His sire is our 16. hh FHANA registered stallion, Vorn MFF, (Doaitsen 420 Sport x Beart 411). His dam is Witten Creek Fiona, a 16.2 hh Percheron/Appaloosa cross mare, a varnish blue roan, with an outstanding disposition. Apache inherited the LP gene from his momma, and is jet black with snowflakes sprinkled across his rump.... (read more) As he is beginning to shed his baby coat, more snowflakes are appearing.
Apache is a darling, inquisitive boy, who likes nothing better than being scratched and loved on. He has the Friesian head and neck and is a very athletic fellow. Currently his dam is on stall rest, after slipping and falling, so Apache is getting fat, since he doesn’t get to run and play with his pasture mates. But, he is handling it like a trooper, and seems content with his daily outings to stretch his legs.
EDIT : 7/15/2024 Apache’s price has been reduced. We had to make the decision to put Apache's dam down, so Apache has been orphaned. He is handling the circumstances like a trooper, but still, it has affected him a bit, and he has developed a small hernia, his reduced price reflects that. It may need repaired in the future, or it may heal in its own. It is quite small, but should we take him to OSU for repair, his price will increase to reflect that.
All of our foals are registered with the Friesian Heritage Horse Association and DNA verified. They are microchipped. Before leaving here, all foals will be leading, standing tied, loading in both ramped and step up trailers, and have been exposed to a variety of different things….inflatables, tarps, farm equipment, etc. Foals will be UTD on deworming, farrier and vaxx.

We will weaning late August or early September, with pick up being scheduled for mid to late October. As Apache is already weaned, he is available for pick-up.
If you have read this far, THANK YOU! If you are a bot (whatever that is) or a scammer…please don’t waste time. We have 17 mares, 13 babies and a stallion…I really don’t have time for foolishness like that. If you are interested in a foal, please feel free to email or call with any specific questions. Please note, the phone listed is a land line, so no texts please.
We work very hard to produce outstanding foals with great minds, correct conformation and good manners. Our mares are all a pleasure to be around and easy to handle, and our stallion passes on his stellar disposition to his foals. Our foals are imprinted at birth and handled daily. They learn early in that humans are trusted friends and try very hard to please us. References available on request.
We also have two fillies, one black, one buttermilk buckskin, and two other colts, one bay overo, one black, available from our 2024 class.

Witten Creek Farm
Raising quality Friesian cross horses. Our brood mares are selected for not only their conformation and bloodlines, but their attitudes as well. All are quiet, gentle and a pleasure to be around. All of the Friesian cross mares have been DNA parentage verified, and all of our babies will be Friesian Heritage Horse registered and DNA verified, as well as micro-chipped. You can be certain when you get one of our babies, that it has already been tested and verified.... (read more) We strive to produce calm, quiet and loving foals, that will be a true pleasure to work with. Daily handling and exposure to a variety of items help them get started right. We try to have each baby not only halter broke, standing for farrier, and loading in a trailer, wearing a pad and surcingle, as well as crossing cavelliti, crossing a tarp, and standing on and crossing a pedestal, We try to teach them to think about things and to trust their human partners.
Our stallion, Vorn MFF is a son of Doaitsen 420, the USEF Friesian sire of the year for 2016, 2017, and 2018. Vorn's mother is a crown mare by Beart 411, the two time driving champion of the Netherlands. Vorn rides and drives. Vorn is also hydro and dwarfism free and five panel negative.. His first foals are on the ground and exceeding all expectations. We have sold babies from coast to coast. Vorn’s get are all very people oriented, athletic and very intelligent. They are easy to work with, and for the most part, very quiet natured.
