"Ralphie" is a 13 year old roan APHA gelding by A Bear Spirit, out of a daughter of Artful Move. This guy has a character to match his size, and he is bound to make anyone fall in love.

This guy rides fantastic in an arena setting.... (read more) He knows his leads and will go around both ways with rocking horse gaits. He has lived the past several years of his life giving lower level jumping lessons to kids, until we got a call that he may be due for a career change less strenuous on his body. Since then, this guy has hit the trails, and has been nothing short of a BLAST.

He has ridden out by our cattle, down in our swampy river, and out in the public parks. I'd say he has been desensitized, but I swear, he came that way. He is unbothered by tarps, yoga balls, ropes, and anything else we try to throw at him. He is the first to greet you at his stall for pets, and loves attention more than he likes being away from it.

This guy is ready to retire on the trails, or be simply enjoyed riding in the arena on flat work. He recently passed a vet exam with flying colors while enjoying his "job" as a pleasure riding and trail horse. He did require very light, bi-annual maintenance when it was considered for him to continue the impact of a jumping career. With his longevity in mind, we found something else he loves, and I think someone will think the same for him!
