This is Montana, and first off this Gelding is seriously BEAUTIFUL we get compliments on him everywhere we have gone with him! Montana is 15.1 athletic but MUSCULAR, he is a beautiful 3/4 Quarter Horse 1/4 Arabian. He is fully automatic and does EXACTLY as he is asked, you can rope a 2,000 lb. bull and drag him where you need to or take him on trails, be the pick up guy or gal for the Bronc riders needing to dismount their bucking horse, rides double, triple, or loaded down with heavy saddle/overnight bags, been in parades, ridden extensively on ranches and in arena, he knows the barrel and pole pattern though it’s been a couple years since he has done the Playday Events he still knows the patterns, he’s not alley or arena sour at all as you’ll see in the videos once I get them uploaded.... (read more) Montana is ready to work or just pleasure ride he goes where you point his nose and is super easy to get along with, one hand neck reign, open/close gates, been there experienced it all! Stands to mount from the right or left, pull him up to anything to use as mounting block, a log, a barrel, the tailgate of a truck whatever you ask he will do, he stands tied, stands for the farrier, ZERO buddy sour/barn sour issues, been on overnight ranch rides, ZERO spook and we have ridden him in some very busy areas! We’ve taken him to town and down the highway multiple times with and without other horses. I can't say anything bad about this boy, he sat almost 2 years before his decided they weren’t going to be riding anymore and consigned him here with us. When he arrived we rode him the same day, no settling in, just saddled him and off we went and he acted as if he hadn't sat a day! He crosses water, LOVES water actually and will play with a water hose if you leave it in his trough and we put a shallow trough in his turn out because he likes to get in it and paw the water lol he loves to SWIM and if you let him he will gladly go to the deep part of the creek and swim you across! He has been a real work horse, he will drag a sled, or anything you hook him up to and without hesitation. He will catch you anywhere even if you have the halter and saddle with you! This is a nice horse and trained right and would cost someone 3x as much to get one trained like he is he needs someone who at least knows the basics of riding because he is truly automatic and does exactly as he is asked! He has a beautiful nice short lope and smooth very collected trot, if you want him to go faster just drop your reins and ask and your off as fast as you want to go! Tell him to whoa and slightly collect him up and he stops nice and easy. He was used as a rodeo pickup horse for a couple seasons and has some old scars to prove it, previously on a drill team, used in many cattle feedlots across the country, dragged a few elk out of the mountains and is ready for a good family or someone needing a confident pretty boy to take them wherever they desire to go alone or with other horses. His current owners said they used to do mounted shooting also so we plan to see how he does with a pistol and being shot off of as soon as we can! Montana stays collected and you ride him with your pinky, he requires no heavy pulling, harsh bits or toe downs and I would LOVE to see him go be a super loved trail horse instead of a work horse! He’s so loving and dog like. Montana has become one all of our favorites here and none of us ever argue when it’s our turn to ride this guy! He’s fun, he’s easy, he listens, he’s like a big ol dog and truly deserves his forever loving person who will appreciate him for all of his wonderfulness! ?

We take each horse to our personal vet for a health exam and to verify their ages (if they aren’t registered) to ensure they are healthy and the correct age before selling them.
We also get a recent Coggins test (if theirs is older than 90 days), their vaccines and their teeth floated if they are due.
Additional vet checks or exams are welcome at buyer’s expense.
Each horse comes with their own personal folder with their records as well!

I have many more scars and have broken or fractured every limb at least once, broken ribs, dislocations, concussions, tailbone broken multiple times, back and neck injuries that are still with me and cause me a lot of pain to this day. Starting out my parents did the best they knew to do and believed people when they claimed the horses were safe for me, we didn’t have a lot of money and they didn’t have the years of experience needed to know the difference or what to look for that truly makes a good “Safe Family Horse” My goal is ALWAYS to match the right horse or horses with the right level of rider, to ensure the horses have good forever homes and my buyers are extremely happy and are as equipped as possible with everything they and their horse needs for their forever success and happiness with their new family! I sell multiple horses to families that I pair or fit together who ride well together, get along with each other etc. I also sale saddles and the tack you’ll need that will properly fit you and your horse, if you don’t have it so you are 100% ready to go ride once you get them home! If you have found a horse for sale with someone else that you like but are unsure if it will actually be a good match for you, I will personally travel to look at and ride the horse for you after getting to know you and will let you know if it will be a good match. I want to see people enjoy good horses and if I can help prevent a bad situation by providing advice, I am happy to help! Just because someone has been riding all their life or has been selling horses, has a horse for sale they have had for a while doesn’t technically qualify them to know if that horse is truly a beginner safe or family safe type horse. As previously mentioned, it takes years to be able to identify things and can be extremely dangerous to purchase from someone who isn’t a trained professional in the specific type of horse you are looking for! It is especially important that you are experienced and know what to look for or that you purchase from someone experienced, reputable and honest because one bad horse could cost you more than you ever want to imagine.
