Perfection, that is what you will think when you gaze upon this beauty. Smokey is a 5 year old, Strong 15.3 hand gorgeous Friesian cross gelding. He is a solid citizen that catches the eye of all who see him. He is a true all around horse for anyone to enjoy no matter if they want a fantastic riding partner, or they need a sensible equine partner, or they want to hitch him up to that epic carriage for a quiet relaxing drive down the road. He is a beautiful deep buckskin color with dapples for days.... (read more) He has a flawless personality and the movement of a fairytale horse. He is extremely smooth at each gait and will make you smile from ear to ear when you sit on top of his back. He has a great walk, an insanely smooth trot, and a rocking horse canter. He will neck rein, direct rein and he is a horse that you can hop on and ride with just a halter and lead rope and enjoy a casual stroll through the woods. He has been on countless trail rides in all different types of terrain. He crosses water of all kinds and will walk over any bridge. He does not blink an eye at traffic on the road and he settles into any new place easily. Smokey is definitely a horse that you will wear your tires off looking for, as he is a once in a lifetime type of horse. He came into our program with such grace and learned all the tricks from laying down, sitting, having the bullwhip cracked and is even good with the shot of a gun. He really loves his down time with his person and loves to play kick the big ball together. He has also shown a great interest in jumping logs on the trail and will hop over a pole in the ring with confidence. Smokey is a horse that we know you will fall in love with, he does not need to be in any type of program or ridden every day to be the same horse for you when you get him out. He can be kept in a stall and also does great on pasture and will come running when you call him in. He stands well in the cross ties and really loves attention.
