I bought PJ for myself as a professional dressage trainer as a wild 9 month old directly from the breeders and have brought him carefully along over the years. I bought this horse for myself with plans to bring him to Grand Prix after his older brother who just debuted at Grand Prix last weekend but it turns out having an infant and a toddler at home takes a lot more time out of your life than I anticipated! So it’s time to downsize!
This horse is so easy, so lovable and kind.... (read more) He’s been a joy to develop. He is the perfect JR or AA horse to bring along but is also fancy enough for a pro!
PJ is a 2019 Hanoverian (grand sire is Royal Prince) gelding standing approximately 16.3h and is the type of horse every trainer wants in their barn. He’s spent a good majority of his time training outside of the arena to develop his strength and is super easy to steer around the huge field, even with his friends fooling around in the same space.
PJ is very trustworthy, requires no lunging, is super brave and focused with three correct gaits with plenty of talent for the FEI. He truly loves having a partner, putting in the work and learning. He is thrilled when it’s time to tack up and go to the ring and is so full of joy to be part of a team. Just the right combination of sensitive and sensible. Forward thinking in a correct, kind manner. Incredibly easy in the contact, just hold the reins and he’s on the bit. Simply uncomplicated.
He has one of the most positive attitudes towards the work and is incredibly trainable. He will come running to you from the field when he sees you! He’s very sensible and not spooky. A true old soul type of guy.
PJ hauls great and travels well, stands in the cross ties, for the farrier and vet without a problem. He has great feet with front shoes, lives outside 24/7 and is fat off of air. Solid Training Level with a great leg yield started.
