Warrick aka Banner is a 16.1 hand 2014 Jockey Club registered Bay thoroughbred gelding.
Sire is Grindstone (Kentucky Derby Winner) and out of a Black Tie Affair mare, Impetuous Affair. Also, a great grandson of Secretariat through his Dam Secret Mystery (Sire Mystery Storm by Storm Bird and out of Some Royal Lady by Secretariat)
Banner was specifically bred for racing and doing very good with a score of 89/100 in genetic testing for equine speed.... (read more) Unfortunately he was never given the opportunity to race. He has never raced or been track broke he is NOT an OTTB.
Banner is very lightly green broke (started last fall) but hasn't been ridden in a couple months due to no arena to work and slick, muddy pastures from rain. We will not be starting him back into work until the weather is consistently nice. He has about 7 rides on him. So far he has not offered to buck, bolt, spook etc. Super willing boy with a great mind on him. Stands really well to get on and off him, has been ridden in a rope halter as well as a snaffle. Stands nicely to be tacked up and takes the bit without complaint.

Banner is the perfect summer project for anyone willing to put in the time and work.
He's got the athleticism to go any direction, trails, cross county, western, english, jumping, western games, barrels dressage, his potential is limitless.
Banner has been stalled before but is currently living on 24/7 pasture with herd mates. Very socialized with horses, dogs, wild life such as elk, dear, coyote and bear, cows, tractors, 4 wheelers etc.
