Experienced trail horse and previous money earner on the barrel pattern. Granddaughter of Sun Frost. She has been trail ridden all over MN, WI, IA, SD, and TX, and has never taken a lame step. Goes through water, over bridges, through thick brush, etc. She has ponied green horses in the black hills even through deep creeks. Rides alone or in a group. When she was used as a barrel horse, she placed in the 1D once with her previous owner, but several times in the 2D and typically in the 3D money.... (read more) Previous owner ran her in a hackamore. She ran on any ground, and in any arena- nothing phased her. She knows poles. She was the go to horse for rodeos as she handles noise, crowds, and activity with no problems. Not spooky. Can leave her loose in the yard to eat grass. She passed the test to be a certified Sherriffs mounted patrol horse for crowd control at a county fair and did amazing. Great for the farrier- stands tied or held for trims or shoeing. Currently barefoot, but previous owner put shoes on when she was hauling often to barrel races and rocky trail areas. She is great with trailering and does not halter pull. Good in a stall and out in the pasture. She loves to be loved on with butt scratches, etc., and has a lot of heart when she's doing a job. She collects nicely, side passes, counter arcs, flexes, moves off leg pressure, and is a nice forward mover. Lunges well. She can be slightly cinchy, but does not kick. She has bucked 4 times in her lifetime that I know of. No rear, kick or bite. Great ground manners- quiet, loves to be brushed, good for baths, etc. More business minded in the saddle. She is very smart and has a lot of try, so not for a beginner. Higher to middle of the pecking order. This horse has been there done that and requires no maintenance. Very easy- no quirks or special needs. I have current x-rays and exam notes from my performance vet from April 2024- all came back clean and can be emailed to you. Seems more like a 6 year old. Selling more as a horse who would make someone an amazing trail horse, but could be great in the barrel pen again for an experienced rider. She has been ridden over the past couple of weeks, and will continue to be legged up. She is gorgeous. Located in Montrose, Minnesota.
