Dum Dums “Lollipop” is a 2011 15hh Bay Quarter Horse/Pony Mare. Lollipop has very low mileage and was restarted in 2021 where she and her rider (13) were part of a show team program at an eventing barn. The pair utilized training-board for 2 months and then continued in lessons twice a week for 2 consecutive years. Lollipop has shown extensively at the sprouts and starter level at Stable View in Aiken, has participated in CEDA schooling dressage shows, Twilight Jumper series schooling shows, and most recently participated in a Cavaletti Clinic with Erika Jansson at Palmetto Bluff, video available.... Lollipop is regularly schooling 2’3 in stadium and cross country. She crosses ditches, goes through water, and will drop down banks into water (recent video available). Hacks out alone or in a group, much prefers small groups and being up front! She’s a natural leader and will not “suck back” to stay with the herd. 3 balanced gaits, forward ride, willing personality, but we believe she should stay at the lower levels when it comes to jumping.
Lollipop was fairly hunted during the 2022-2023 fox hunting season with Lowcountry Hunt. She did a wonderful job in 2nd and 3rd field and seems to have a real interest in the sport. Would make a small adult a brave and confident hunting partner. Still green and would need to be started properly with roading and cubbing in 2nd and 3rd field before hunting.
Lollipop enjoys turnout with minimal stall time, she eats Pro Elite senior feed and is supplemented with ground flax. Lollipop does wear front shoes when in work and showing but can go barefoot when out of strenuous work. Low to no maintenance required. For sale due to no fault of her own, her rider is getting older and is ready to step up to a larger mount. Lollipop will stay in-work until she finds her new home, she is being ridden 2xs a week.
Lollipop is not suited to beginners and is a forward ride. Would be a great step up horse for a junior who wants to start showing.
