Everyone is always looking for a flashy and stout horse that can also work; here she is! Bear with me on this listing, she has quite the resume.
We will start off with inside the arena. “Sharpay” has consistently been roping live steers (heel side) for well over 60 days now. She understands her job and gets it done.... (read more) Now all she needs is to be seasoned. We’ve hauled her to numerous arenas and entered her at jackpots already (#10’s through #8’s), she’s ready to go down the road and live the life. Whether you’re a weekend warrior or someone who ropes on a daily basis, she’ll be great for either. She knows a hard day of work and won’t give out on you. “Sharpay” can be your main mount or a practice horse. She has never once gotten hot in the box and comes out flat every run. We have also headed a few freshies off of her and drug them into the chute. We think she would make a phenomenal head horse as well.
“Sharpay” has also been used extensively in the pasture to doctor, sort, brand, etc. She will hold either end of the rope and really reads a cow. I will say this mare will physically eat a cow, ears down, mouth open. We haven’t had one with this much cow in them in a while. She has great footing underneath her so no worries about rough pasture when you’re going after a waspy one. We’ve taken her down through the woods to trail ride and she’s pleasant there too. She has no spook to her and has a very calm demeanor.
She will jump right into or out of the trailer. Gets along well with all the other horses. Perfectly fine with being stalled or turned out; easy to catch either way. Stands quietly for grooming, bathing, saddling, and farrier work. Currently barefoot and has held a set of shoes before, but doesn’t require them. Clean legs and 100% SOUND!
Goes as grade with current coggins.
