Huck is a 2023 bay tobiano gelding by Forest Midnight Comet. He strings to a solid 15h and is already fairly stout. He’s very well balanced, has natural sliding stops and can turn on a dime. He does all the basics: leads, ties, stands for vet and farrier, bathes, loads, hauls, etc.. He’s working on the basics of lunging, has had saddle pads thrown on his back, has had pressure around his girth and the only thing stopping him from being ready to be started is his age and size.... (read more) Huck is super easy to work with, he is quick with new tasks and eager to learn. Not in the mood to work today? That’s no problem for Huckleberry. He’s happy being brushed and primped and getting all of your attention. Huckleberry is gentle enough for head-hugs and nose kisses and will make your worst day turn around to be your best day.

With his trainability, athleticism, and eye-catching flash, Huck will be your go-to for every event! He has the stop and build to make an awesome rope horse, the quick thinking for working cow, and the movement for reined cow. Western events not your forte? That’s no problem for Huck! He is going to make an amazing English horse, too. He’s steady and rhythmic enough for hunter/jumper, athletic and surefooted enough for cross country, and would be a great lower level eventer. He’s quiet and has been ponies on local and no-so local trails. He hauls better than some of my older horses and isn’t about that silly calling or pushiness that sometimes happens in new places. He’s going to be a jack of all trades, suitable for all events. Would be awesome for an amateur looking for a horse to do it all with, or someone who just wants to have fun.
