IEH Tejon
Tejon is a 5yo grulla gelding from Twin Peaks, CA HMA. He is 15.1hh and will probably grow another inch. He is a solid guy with nice big hooves and clean legs. He is in between his lighter winter coat and darker more mouse colored summer coat in the pictures. Tejon has had a couple of rides and is steady progressing in the program. He is extremely easy going, even a kid used him in a liberty clinic last month. He has no stranger danger and likes attention.... (read more) He is an old soul and gets along with any horse we put him with and even helps calm down anxious horses. He is top dog but super fair about it and not mean. He wants to be someone’s western pleasure horse or laid back trail horse. Performance is not his cup of tea. He would rather mosey on down the trail and smell the flowers with you, lol! He is a barn favorite and we really struggled wanting to keep him for ourselves! His DNA came back Andalusian, Percheron and Quarter Horse. He actually has a great mane and tail but some very bad baby horses ate them on his way to NY! They are growing back in full now and he will be even more beautiful. Tejon is eligible for both the Foundation and Elite Heart Mustang Programs. His current training status is: extensive ground work, positive reinforcement training started, getting started under saddle, has had a few rides. He is about halfway through the Foundation Level program. Currently located in New Paltz, NY - hauling ? to Texas (and anywhere along that route) available in September for either one (if they have graduated the program by then). Hauling to AZ may be available later in the year.
