Montana is a grade Appaloosa mare. I bought her as an 11 year old but she is 18. 14hh. I’ve had my vet come out and she’s UTD on everything. Coggins shots and teeth. Was just recently wormed and will be wormed again before she leaves. My vet gave her the clear do so anything I wanted to do with her including barrels. Just as long as she’s taken care of with her joints. I’ve had her on a joint supplement. Amazing barefoot and no soundness issues.... (read more) She was used at a guided trail facility so literally NOTHING scares her. I’ve had beginners on her. She has a huge motor on her. She can be used at saddle club, for ranch work, this horse can do literally everything. She literally gets around like she’s five years old. She comes up to the gate and as soon as I walk out of the house she trots right up to me. I’ve done a ton of ground work with her and she moves her hindquarters and everything when asked. Nice walk to trot, and especially walk to lope. She has gorgeous lead changes and a smooth trot. She trots the barrel pattern as well. She responds phenomenal to leg. Whoever had her before has put a lot of work and time into her. She just needs a refresher. Her lope is the smoothest I’ve felt in a while. She’s great with all kinds of people on her. She does have a tooth that’s long that no one ever had checked out that just needs done a little more often so I ride her in a hackamore or a halter. She’s been out of work but I can jump on after letting her sit and it’s like she had been ridden everyday for a month. She stands for the vet, farrier and chiropractor. She loads and trailers like a dream. I just want what I paid for her. She would be an amazing addition to literally anyone’s herd. She lost some weight during the winter but when she’s muscled up she’s literally a tank. I have pictures from both places she came from before me. She also has tons of personality and is low on the totem pole but will steal food from another horse if she can get to it. She will cross anything I’ve lead her to. She really is an amazing little horse. She’s sooo nice with groundwork. She’s super soft on the ground and when she’s in a halter and everything. She needs some weight and muscle.
