While Candy is absolutely adorable and eye catching in the ring we have truly fallen in love with her personality. On the ground Candy is one of the sweetest, easiest, and most well-mannered ponies I have ever come across.... (read more) Candy has exceptional ground manners: stands perfectly to be groomed, tacked, and bathed. She loves to go on adventures and loads like a charm. Absolutely no mareish behavior, Candy loves attention and gets along with everyone! Candy is the definition of an easy keeper, 100% sound barefoot and stays fat/ shiny on air. While she is a medium pony she has great body and takes up leg making her a suitable size for a child or adult rider.
Under saddle Candy is as BRAVE and SCOPEY as they come. I’m talking unflappable… if this pony was 16h I’m absolutely certain she would be a 5* event horse. You will not find another pony as game as this one. With that in mind Candy is a forward thinking pony. Candy rides in a snaffle but has her own motor and requires a rider that likes a forward ride and isn’t afraid to sit up and say woah. On the flat Candy is happy to stretch down and go on the buckle or carry a nice frame. Candy has an easy lead change both ways, always picks up her leads, and a beautiful trot. With the right prep she could make a lovely hunter but given her scope and spirit I know she would excel as a JUMPER / EVENT pony.
