Bourbon was started as a reiner, but her original owner moved across the country and she got behind in training. When we bought her 2 years ago, we put her in training for reining, ranch riding and trail but right before she was going to start showing we had to pull her from training due to financial reasons and flushed a gorgeous embryo out of her first try. Then we bred her back to Black Gotta Gun to carry and hoped and prayed for a filly, hopefully a grulla with this type of pedigree and not only did she have exactly that, but she had a BLUE EYED splash white grulla filly who is just to die for! Since Bourbon is Aa for agouti she can produce grulla and true black, she could even have a grulla foal by A Vintage Smoke if you wanted to try crossing her that way! We were so blessed with the filly she gave us we decided to keep the filly and nominate her for the Futurity, hoping to give her a chance at the show pen...
