Late 2021 Westphalian/Holsteiner currently stands around 15.2/15.3, should mature around 16/16.1, is currently being started undersaddle has never offered any kind of attitude- she is a “go with the flow” kind of girl! Sonnet is intelligent, athletic, brave, scopey, and incredibly kind.
She is excellent on the ground: loads, ties (even with dogs running under her legs), bathes, tacks up without any issue, lunges, goes over obstacles, comes when called in the pasture, stands for the farrier and vet.... (read more) I have yet to see her kick or so much as pin her ears at a person, horse, or dog.
Absolutely no spook, has been ponied on trail rides with no issue, you can drive farm equipment behind her, walk past construction, over tarps, through water, ditches, teeter-totters — she has always had the disposition of a seasoned schoolmaster.
She could easily be brought along by a youth or amateur and would make an incredible eventer or foxhunter (she has lived on sight with the hounds and absolutely adores them). She’s a lovely mover, great impulsion and self carriage, SOUND and has never taken an off step!
Sire is a registered Holsteiner out of Galypso and Dam is a unregistered Westphalian both parents are impeccable staff and first flight foxhunters, Dam was previously an intermediate eventer and competed in 1.30m – 1.35m jumpers, at 18 she has completely clear X-rays and no maintenance.
I bought her to be my next foxhunter, but I have since left the sport and gotten back into western, so unfortunately I no longer have a spot for her.
Currently priced at 4500 but open to offers and trades if she goes soon! Videos available!
