Pistol is a gentle, in-your-pocket gelding that has done a little bit of everything. He’s been used in the stockyards to push cattle, opens gates, trail-ridden extensively through the forests of Kentucky, has had a rope thrown off him, has been introduced to the barrel and pole patterns, dabbled in ranch sorting, has been used to move cattle to new pasture, and has been used as a lesson horse for small children.

He will cross water, calmly stop over obstacles, and is happy to mosey down the trail all day.... (read more) Will ride in the front or back of a group.
He will walk, trop, and lope, has a good stop and is starting to ride around fancy. He loads and unloads, backs, picks up feet, stands tied all day, loads and unloads, bathes, etc.

Pistol is ready for his new partner to finish him out in the discipline they choose, or to be a long-time trail partner. He has dark, hard hooves and stays barefoot. He requires no extra maintenance.
