This is Ky (Flagmount's Magic). He’s a 21 y/o ISH 15.3 gelding and is the love of my life. However, the other LOML, my dog, has cancer and chemo is expensive. I can’t support both, so Ky would love a new friend. For that reason, I'd really love 1,000 to secure his home which would also help with treatments.

Ky has always been sound but he’s been mostly retired the past 5 years due to my schedule.... (read more) If you want to ride him a lot I’d recommend a vet check as he does have some arthritis. I don’t want to undersell him—he’s super fun to ride—but I don’t have means to vet check him to confirm his limits.
He’s a lovely ride with nice gaits, knows LL dressage, can be ridden bareback, and has a good attitude under saddle for an INTERMEDIATE* rider—I consider this to mean you have mastered your leg, hands, and seat; all gaits and low fences; and are both trained on and intuitive with horse behavior. He’s an ex-Eventer which shows in the field and on trails (he's hot) and if you press a button you don’t know how to undo (ex. side passing).
*advanced beginners have ridden him in the area with supervision, and kids have been led around on him, but I wouldn’t consider him “beginner friendly” and he’s not bombproof.
Personality wise he’s sweet and calm. ☺️ Likes to nibble on my legs sometimes. No aggressive behavior ever! Wiggles for baths and if his herd is “abandoning” him. ? He is trained in NHS and loves it! Follows me around, etc. He would be a fun horse for anyone to play around with on the ground.
I’d like him to have a new friend EO April but I’m also going to be particular. We have to be on the same page about regular updates (like monthly?) and the paperwork will note that I have first right of refusal because, well, I mean have a tattoo of him. :)
Trailering would be up to you, I don’t have one!
