This is "CLAY RIDGE LEE", a registered FRIESIAN SPORT HORSE GELDING that is very well trained. He has been ridden English and Western. This gelding is a grandson of the famed Friesian stallion "MINTSE 384". This gelding is 4 years old and has been in professional training. He is 75% purebred Friesian and 25% Percheron. He has been in reining training and will sit down and turn around very nicely, especially for a horse of his size.... (read more) He lopes nice circles, in and out of the arena. He will lope slow small circles or big circles. He stops easily and will slide stop. He moves off of leg cues, has a nice lead departure, will one step lope, and he does flying lead changes. He will side pass and you can open and close gates off of him. He has been in the pastures checking cattle and can be used to sort and push them. He has been up the loading docks and used to load the trucks out. He is an excellent big sturdy gelding that can handle a full day of ranch work, trail riding, or mountain riding. He holds back nicely going down steep hills and is like a bulldozer in four wheel drive on rough terrain. He will go where he is pointed with confidence. He has been jumped and is brave to go over logs and other deadfall. He has excellent ground manners, and he stands still to be bathed, tacked, and groomed. This big Friesian is like a big puppy dog. He loves to trail ride and loves people. He is a very fun horse to have around as he is responsive, obedient, and well trained. He is traffic safe on the roads and not spooky. He will ride out alone and in a group, he rides bareback in just a halter and lead rope, and he will ride double. I have never offered a Friesian for sale that has had reining training, ranching experience, dressage training, and lots of trail miles. He is versatile, intelligent, stylish, and very handsome.
