This gorgeous 2015 double-registered buckskin half-Arabian mare, WA FLASH BACK, a.k.a., “Luna,” is available to a perfect home!
Luna is sired by CJ FLASH+/ (Padrons Psyche x Peaches N Fame), Canadian Reserve National, Champion Western Side Saddle, U.S. National Top 10 Futurity Stallion, U.S. National Top 10 Western Pleasure Jr Horse, Multi U.S. National Top 10 Western Pleasure AOTR. She was bred at Whit Acres Farm in MA by a leading Performance Horsemanship clinician and Western Dressage competitor.... (read more) She is registered with the Arabian Horse Association and the American Buckskin Registry Association.
Luna is polite on the ground. She loads, stands tied, clips, stands at wash rack and for fly spraying, and is a perfect angel for the farrier. In the saddle, she is soft, sensitive, and energetic. She has three extremely beautiful and comfortable gaits. She picks up both leads. She can move her shoulder and hip independently, leg yields, and side passes with ease. She can work a rope gate and navigate obstacles with confidence. She is a sensitive, light horse who listens closely, and thus a rider with a quiet seat and hands would suit her best.
Luna is without a doubt a head-turner. You will get noticed wherever you go on this big, gorgeous buckskin girl. Her dapples are unreal! She has been hauled to local shows and placed in novice ranch rail and ranch trail classes. Her gorgeous, floating gaits and impulsion would make her an exceptional dressage/western dressage horse. She loves to move out and could also thrive in endurance riding. She would excel in any discipline with her athleticism and ability to learn quickly. Luna is currently in training with a credentialed national, reserve national, and reserve world title-winning ranch/western riding trainer.
You can ride Luna in the arena and on the trail. She trail rides alone or with a group. She is sure-footed on slopes, steps, and rocky terrain. Luna can be a little nervous and insecure in new and busy environments, though settles in under the guidance of a confident rider. She has no buck/rear/bolt.
Luna is sound with no history of lameness. She has no severe vices. She is the type of horse that ideally needs consistent riding, though I have pulled her from the pasture after being off for a week or two and been able to ride without lunging. She is a lead mare but currently lives peacefully in a herd setting. She has a few superficial blemishes that are only noticeable on close inspection.
The reason for selling Luna is that I am looking for a horse with a little more "whoa" to fit my riding goals. With my advancing career, I do not have the time Luna needs to fully engage her talents. Luna is a STAR and there are big plans in store for her. You are the perfect fit for Luna if you are a confident intermediate/experienced rider looking for an energetic and willing horse that you will work with regularly. Luna will give you wings to fly to incredible places, and I’m so eager for her to find her match!
Please call call, text, or email Colleen with additional questions. I would also be glad to connect you with Luna’s trainer. Luna is in Tijeras, NM.
