I really hate to have to sell this horse. I named him Scotland, and it suits him. He has a big heart and a wild, gritty attitude. The reality is, we just don't fit together. We both have different goals and interests, and both of us are frustrated. I had purchased him as a lesson horse/ part-time partner for me to work on my equitation. That's not what he wants to do! I've had him for 7 months, and it's been quite a journey. He's come a long way - but still has a way to go.... (read more) This is a 24/7 pasture horse - he does not like barns or confinement. He also does not like to work in an arena... when he's out in wide open spaces, he is present & fluid. He would do best as a trail horse & part of your herd. He is not spooky or have a lot of "flee" he stands his ground and then moves on. He is very brave & willing. He does have a history of stomach ulcers, he was treated for 2 months to resolve the pain and has been on a gut-supportive diet for 4 months with no more issues. He is best suited for a trainer, adult with a trainer for support, or trailer rider who understands and can work with horses that have some pushiness and attitude. Scotland is a sensitive soul - and matches energy... so keep that in mind, because he will give you what you give him. If you're someone who is willing to take the time to build a solid relationship of trust and respect - I know he will take you anywhere you want to go. I love him, and am not looking to dump him, trade him, or auction him off. I've put blood, sweat, and tears into him along with as much love as he would accept. He deserves the best! I know that there is a good fit out there for him. Price is negotiable, make an offer. Delivery in and around central Florida available for a small fee.
