Diesel is a handsome bay gelding that anyone can ride, he has been ridden for pleasure and trail rides. He is pretty laidback and rides with a loose one hand neck rein and has a good backup, and stop. Diesel has a long stride making him very smooth at the walk, trot, and canter. He has no problem carrying a flag, opening/closing gates, and walking over obstacles, down streams, and over fallen trees. Diesel is used to heavy equipment and its sounds, we have a construction company next door and he is used to all their heavy equipment (i.e. dump trucks, semis, lawnmowers, track hoes, etc.) He has no problem walking up/down steep ditches and ravines, he will go anywhere you point him, through thick brush, in the woods with no spook.
Diesel is dog and kid friendly. He will stand still while being saddled, groomed, and bathed. He stands still while being tacked up, clipped, groomed, sprayed for flies, picking his feet, and being mounted (from the ground or a mounting block), while standing tied, for the vet/farrier, he loads well and hauls well. He is easy to catch, is super gentle, and has AWESOME ground manners. He gets along with all of our other horses (mares and geldings alike) is not dominant, he is at the bottom of the pecking order.
Diesel would be a great prospect for many things such as; trail riding, trail riding competitions, pony horse, English, jumping, queen's contests, playdays, drill teams, barrels, poles, grand entry, parades, ranch sorting, team penning, mounted patrol, walk-trot, lead line, 4H/FFA, or as a lesson horse. He would be great at teaching the kids to ride. Diesel is willing to please.
He is a beautiful dark bay gelding, big and stout standing 15.3hh with a handsome face, a kind eye, and a nice mane, tail, and forelock. He has good conformation, a strong thick neck, nice withers, a straight back, a wide chest, and hip. He is a good size for a larger/taller rider, he can easily carry 300+ pounds.
Diesel is a gentle giant and very sweet!! He is very calm, has a good mind and learns quickly, has a good disposition. Diesel is young and smart enough to learn any type of job. He will fit the novice or the pro. DON'T MISS OUT on this young, beautiful sweet boy he has lots of potential!!!! If you want a big stout gelding that is graceful and smooth Diesel is your boy.
