Spotted RickyB, aka "Ricky Bobby" is a 6 year old ApHC (hardship) gelding standing at a perfect 15 hands. You will look long, hard, and forever for a TRUE black appaloosa, with a perfect blanket, full mane, full tail, and some added chrome.... (read more) I have never in my life owned another that even came close to him. He has "THE LOOK" any person would want in an appaloosa.

In the arena, this guy rides around like you'd want one too. He collects up in the bridle, knows his leads, and has a big, pretty, floating movement. He is learning some buttons, and will move around on his shoulders and break at the poll. We have desensitized him to carrying flags, flapping tarps, bouncing yoga balls, and we have thrown the rope off of him.

We have ridden this guy everywhere we can outside. He has been down the trail, and has crossed water, gone over banks, through our woods, and down our gravel roads without a thought. He has been ridden around our hobby farm and seen every aspect that comes along with it: long horn cattle, UTVs, ATVs, and machinery.

This guy was broken out later in life, and you would hardly ever know it. He learns what you throw at him, and retains it. You can't train one to HAVE a good mind, you can only train one WITH a good mind. He has his lifetime ahead of him, and his legs have NOT been ridden off. He is up to date with all of his vetting, farrier, and is on our regular worming schedule.

You could take this guy into the roping arena, into the ranch pleasure classes, or even throw him under english tack. Regardless, you will never see another like him in public.

You likely saw this guy offered not long ago, and said "is this the same horse?" - Yes. Yes it is. We considered holding him back, again, for a larger sale, and decided this time, is his time to go to make moves on some other business investments. He is going to be a jaw dropper when he sheds what is left of his long winter coat!
