Avocado is a 10 year old 15.2 hand paint gelding. Well built with a flashy eye catching coloring. He is marked in all the right places, has great confirmation and a nice stocky build. This gelding is the kind of horse that anyone can own, ride and enjoy. He’s safe, sane, quiet and very level headed. Whatever you ask of him, he’s more than willing to do. (read more) He’ll happily go around the arena all day long and will trail ride wherever you point him. Walks, trots, canters, picks up his leads, has good brakes, a nice soft mouth and backs up. Stands at the mounting block. He is very willing and likes to jump. He has zero prior jumping experience but is super willing and would only keep getting better and he would jump bigger. We’ve only asked him to go over cross rails. Neck reins and direct reins. He has a nice easy to sit to jog for western and will trot right out into a nice posting trot for English. I really think this horse is a super cute mover. He’s nice enough to go to any smaller schooling type show or he can go right to work in any lesson program. Avocado is truly an all around kind of guy. He is absolutely beginner, kid, husband and family safe. A great horse for the first time horse owner. A better rider that just wants a level headed nice gelding to enjoy will also have a lot of fun with this gelding.
Out on the trails he’ll go anywhere. Zero spook and is completely confident by himself. Road and traffic safe. Walks on a nice loose rein with a nice level head. He also doesn’t get fast coming home. Unaffected by bikes, cars, trucks, machinery, dogs, garbage cans or deer. Avocado rides in a snaffle bit and doesn’t require anymore bit than a snaffle. A very easy keeper that can live inside or out. Gets along with all others or he can happily be pastured alone with no issues. Not herd or buddy sour at all. 100% sound, no vices and up to date on everything. Requires no maintenance or supplements. Be sure to check out his very extensive video. I know it’s long but it’s definitely worth the watch. We try to include just about everything so you can see exactly what kind of horse he is. To top it all off he absolutely adores kids, I think my 3 year old son is his favorite person. He is a very sweet in your pocket kind of guy and is always there to greet you at the gate or stall door. He also loves treats but doesn’t get obnoxious about it. I will say I’m not the biggest paint horse fan but this gelding is definitely a good one. I really don’t have anything I don’t like about him and he has proven himself to be a really nice quiet gelding. We are located in Allentown NJ 08501.
