This old soul is full of love. Roman would love to spend every minute of the day with you. He is a total in-your-pocket type of guy and has everything to offer!!! If you are looking for a true all-around partner, Rome is your boy!... (read more) This young gelding has the BEST personality!!!
In the barn, he has zero bad habits. He can live in or out and goes out happily in a mixed herd. He has gentle ground manners and can be handled by children and beginners. He is safe and has more whoa than go. Roman is curious and loves to play and explore. He stands on the cross ties to groomed, tacked, bathed, etc. He adores affection and loves to be around people.
Rome is a fun trail partner. He will lead, follow, and go out alone and in groups. He will ride slowly and easily yet move out with a beautiful, lengthy walk. When riding large horses, you won’t get left in the dust. He crosses water, logs, rocks, and other trail obstacles. He is safe with dogs trailing alongside him and will even pony others for a trail ride! He is safe around machinery, four-wheelers, traffic, etc. He loves to look around and take in the scenery and is always up for an adventure! Roman would be an excellent camping partner or fox hunter!
Roman rides western, English, and bareback. He is a very uncomplicated ride, with naturally beautiful, uphill gaits. He has a lofty canter, that you could sit all day. I could see him being a superstar in the dressage world.
He is the type of guy who can sit for weeks, tack up, and go, right? Amazing characteristic to have at such a young age! He has no silly business and has never offered any naughty behavior. Roman has been hauled to new locations many times. He steps off of the trailer as if he is at home. I brought him to a new arena for video; he traveled alone and rode off like a champ.
This boy just has an amazing brain!!!
In the ring, Rome will walk, trot, canter, knows his leads, and trot ground poles. He has slowly been learning about collection and naturally wants to carry himself correctly. His gaits are comfortable and rheumatic.
He has trotted over small poles and tiny cross rails, but we have not officially started him over fences due to his age. Roman has not been pushed or drilled in the ring. Everything is being taught slowly and correctly. He enjoys working and learns very fast. We have just been having fun with him and letting him take his time.
Roman has carried children and beginners. He is a safe pony. He does what is asked of him, and he is very honest. He enjoys being handled by little ones, and he is very gentle with them. I see him being a fantastic pony for a child to grow and learn with.
Roman is broke to drive as well! Roman has been driven lightly and appropriately for his age.
Talk about a safe, easy-going boy who quite literally does it all! Roman is safe around cows; he will push and chase them, and I can use him to bring feed out to the steer. He also knows a few tricks!! Rome knows how to lay down on command, step up on objects, and he knows how to kick a ball!!
Roman hops right on the trailer every time. He trailers well, with or without company. He stands tied to the trailer for tacking up, etc. He is good for the vet and farrier. He can go in four shoes and fronts and is currently barefoot. He has nice, large, healthy hooves and clean legs. Roman has zero soundness or health issues. He has recently had his teeth done and is up to date with vaccines.
This type of pony is impossible to find; he is gentle, clever, intelligent, and absolutely beautiful. He has great conformation and long thick hair! He is so people-oriented and sweet. Don’t let his age fool you; he is very mature for being three, and he will only get better and better as he gets older! Roman is very loved here, and everyone who meets him adores him. If I had a kid, he would be staying right here. However, it is time for Roman to make someone very happy. The opportunities are limitless with this fellow!! Don’t miss out on sweet Roman!
