Shutting down our horse operation: I WILL DISCOUNT IF YOU TAKE THE TWO MATCHING WHITE MINIS (see other ads)
My wife of 33 years passed of cancer last year - these horses were primarily hers and were used in conjunction with our mini-ranch business in Payson, Arizona for several years. I have decided to sell/re-home the horses with tack and equipment.
Health an History:
All three of our horses have been cared for for years with regular visits from Diamond J Vet in Payson.... (read more) If you need medical history we can pull one, Drew will vouch for their health/ability. Cliff P is our farrier in Payson and sees our horses regularly. There are no known health issues with any of the horses (see other ads here).
"Peaches": White American Mini-horse (papered)
Age: 15
While papered - I do not know where her papers are currently. I will supply the papers when we find them as I go through my wife's documents. Peaches is very light and responds well to head/hand signals at liberty in the round pen. She has been trained the last 5 years using Clinton Anderson methods, and is handled/worked bi-weekly for years. Heavily desensitized to motors of all kinds, plastic bags, ballon pops, etc - she is a "bullet proof" mini. Never hand fed, she doesn't seek hands or bite. No bites/kicks, etc in her history and has been in public for rodeo parades, retail events (without fencing, swamped by kids) and does well on the halter with kids as low as two in weddings and events the last 5 years. She came to us trained well and has improved - can now bow on command for handlers of all ages, holds and swings a jump rope for kids (holding one end at the chin), and rears on command. She also stands on a box, even when led up by younger handlers (4-5 year old kids). She enjoys our creek and has no fear of water. She also carries a pack well and is great on long walks in the forest / hiking or ponied with groups. She has no fear of large horses. She has a shiny short coat when shed out in the summer and a fluffy white coat in the winter months. She is absolutely a gem, and would do well with other training (Carts, etc) or therapy training (she has experience in senior facilities, shopping facilities, etc). She is fine with goats and dogs, even strange dogs at events.
She has foaled at least twice that we know, and both were white after the first few years including "Ace", our other mini 4.5 year old listed in another ad here -- we would LOVE to have them both go together as they are in a common area together and hate to be separated. Will do a deal for the two together - ask. Both are well trained, no kicks/bites and never hand fed (that we know).
We also were told that she was shown heavily in her younger years in Texas. We have no real history, but she is incredibly well behaved and it makes sense to us that she's been heavily worked/trained her whole life.
The price here reflects our heavy training investment. No saddle provided, training halter and mini tack/lead included.
