“Pearl” is a 13 year old grey Percheron mare standing 17.2 hands high. This girl has fabulous ground and barn manners. Pearl stands tied, loads and leads. She is good with children running around her, great with dogs, chickens, and cats. She stands quiet as a mouse in a stall when she is in the barn and she fits in well turned out with a mixed heard. She has one flaw is that is she doesn’t stand great for the farrier, we trim her in stocks.... (read more)
Under saddle, Pearl is safe for anyone that can hold the reins. If you’re looking for one the entire family can ride, here she is!
She has three very nice gaits but prefers to walk. Pearl will hack out alone with confidence or hack out in a group and will happily take the lead, ride in the middle, or follow behind the group. She rides bareback, English, and western. Pearl has been exposed to cattle, goats, sheep, hogs, and other livestock.
Driving, Pearl is just as quiet and easy going. She will go single and double and drives on either side. Pearl is simple to harness and hook, she will stand all day and walks on when asked. This girl stops and stands patiently at stop signs and lights, she will take you safely through town or pleasure drive around the farm. She would make a fantastic addition to any driving program!
