While we didn't raise this guy, we have had an opportunity to watch him grow up and are pleased to offer this sweet and pretty guy for his breeders and owners. Merlin has been a pleasure to have in the barn! He hasn't had as extensive handling as our homebred babies, but he is very sweet and tries really hard to figure out what is being asked of him. He is broke to lead and tie, stands quietly in crossties and is good for general grooming and leg handling; although he is still nervous about lifting his feet, he was pretty good for his farrier appointment.... (read more) We have started taking him on walks around the barns and property to introduce him to some new sights; so far he is very interested in everything and tends to stop and inspect things, rather than reacting to new items.
Merlin has a beautiful trot and canter, with a lot of lift and natural body carriage. We think this boy could be a fantastic partner for any discipline and has the mindset to be a very fun and engaged partner. Merlin has been pssm1 tested and is N/N, expected to mature in the 17hh range. l
