Red Feather is a 2016 edition Appaloosa gelding , he’s been owned by one person his entire life.
Tough times, call for tough decisions and this is one.
Red has been there done that, hes done obstacle challenges, roping clinics, pleasure shows, miles and miles of trail rides, kids lessons, adult lessons, western dressage and honestly anything we’ve thrown at him.
He does great with a kid, or an experienced adult . He prefers trail rides over arena work anyday.... (read more)
Reds faults:
He has an off balanced front left foot, I have radiographs. The bone is sideways and strains the tendons of worked hard often. He requires front shoes with pads, I’d prefer him stay with the same farrier as he knows how to trim him right. He requires dorm gell 45 minutes prior to getting shoes.
Red hates the vet. Hates them. If your comfortable giving him shots your self, it’s the better option. If not, have a twitch on hand to help your vet out .
He doesn’t like clippers .
Pros:
He ties solid, he loads, he’s a big dog who loves attention. He’s in your pocket . He does flyings and solid simples. He’s had extensive show experience , he’s done round ups , Cattle drives , and very long trail rides that get pretty scetchy . He’s soft in his face , if you allow him to be
