Lenny is a gorgeous 2015 Golden Palomino Quarter Horse gelding. He stands 15.1 hh, has great legs and feet, and is a sweetheart. Lenny is a “get on and go” type of gelding. He is trained to stand at the mounting block, stands for mounting/dismounting, and stands quiet until the rider is ready to move along. He has excellent ground manners, stands tied quietly, picks up feet easily, loves to be groomed and bathed, and overall, just hangs out relaxing until its work time.... (read more) Lenny has been used mostly outside on trails and the ranch to look for and gather cattle, check and fix fence lines, load trucks, sort, and is good in the branding pen. Lenny is strong and can go all day. He is sure-footed, has been in tough terrain, goes through water, goes out alone or in a group, and has been on several overnight fun camping trips and did great. He has been to the ocean and didn’t hesitate to get in the waves and canter along the beach. He truly is a blast to ride and adventure on. He hobbles and/or high lines, eats and drinks on the road well, loads/unloads trailers with ease, and is good in new places. Along with ranch and work life, Lenny has many hours in sensory training and Natural Horsemanship. He carries a flag, goes over/drags tarps, smoke machine, plastic bags, quads, motorcycles, dogs, kids running around, and traffic.
Lenny has a ground covering walk, comfortable jog with a head set, great long trot, and smooth canter. He picks up leads with ease, has a nice stop, moves off leg appropriately, side pass, open/close gates, and has a nice neck rein. He would excel in Ranch Riding, Ranch Trail, Ranch Versatility, Sorting, Team Roping, Breakaway, Barrels/Poles, Mounted Shooting, Trail Trials, and/or English. He goes over small jumps with ease and enjoys the movement and fluidity of Dressage. He woulThe training foundation and miles are all there and he can go any direction. He is eager to learn and has a willing attitude with new situations and riders. He would be ideal for a trainer with clients, Mounted Patrol prospect, and/or Search and Rescue. He has a sweet and kind disposition, loves attention, and has all the athletic ability needed to go any direction.
Lenny is utd on shots, worming, dental, and feet. He currently has a full set of shoes and can go barefoot. He is excellent for the farrier, easy to deworm/vaccinations, and is easy to be around. Overall, Lenny is a gorgeous gelding inside and out. If you are looking for that “go to” horse that is safe to be around to explore the mountains, a day trip at the ocean, a ride down to the local bar and grill, and/or a horse to take you to the pay booth-
