Eli is a 2016 grey Thoroughbred gelding. Raced lightly, has been off the track for several years. He has competed up to beginner novice level eventing, and schooled some novice. He is in his 4th season of foxhunting with Wicomico Hunt. He has capped at Cheshire, Rose Tree Blue Mountain, Belle Meade, Marlborough, etc. In November 2022 he was Champion Hilltopper at the MD/DE Field Hunter Qualifier hosted by Marlborough. He whipped in for the 2022-2023 season.... (read more) He has done multiple schooling level hunter shows and is always in the ribbons. He spent 10 days in Aiken, SC in February 2023 and handled the travel and new places well. He has tons of hours of trail riding experience, including swimming (which he loves). Eli is more of a push ride, he has a good head but does sometimes spook or need encouragement from his rider so I believe an intermediate/experienced rider is necessary. He has a small old bow that he had from the track when I bought him, it has never caused any issues and he has been a very sound horse. Eli is ready to have fun with his new person.
