Additional Comments
Njála is a lovely five-gaited daughter of first prize stallion Erill frá Einhamri 2 (9 tölt, 8.5 pace) and first prize mare Aþena frá Feti (8.5 tölt). The celebrated honor prize stallion Orri frá Þúfu í Landeyjum shows up on both sides of her pedigree tree, as a grandsire and great grandsire. Riding Njála only confirms the quality bloodlines in her pedigree. She displays plenty of natural, clean tölt with her other gaits being clearly separated and easily accessible.... Her current owner has enjoyed riding her extensively on trails. The ease of which Njála covers ground, combined with her sure footedness have made her an excellent partner for such rides. In combination with enjoyable gaits, she is a willing and eager partner under saddle. Since her import to the US from Iceland in 2021 she has had plenty of experience riding out, crossing creeks, and traveling to different locations for trails. We got to know her during her adjustment period and immediately fell in love with her. Despite only being 5 years old during her move, Njála took the changes right in stride. She is quite easy to be around on the ground and patient when tied. Due to the quality of her gaits, Njála would be ideal for a buyer interested in pursuing clinics and shows as well.
We’re confident that this fully trained mare will make someone an excellent partner.
Considerations:
Though quite experienced and respectful, Njála is a forward thinking horse. Interested parties should be comfortable with moving out during rides.
Ideal rider level: Intermediate and up
