Duchess is a 6yr Gypsy Vanner x Clydesdale mare. She has the classic black and white coloring common in the Gypsy Vanner breed with gorgeous blue and brown eyes. She measures 15.2H and looks even bigger in person. She is an athletic draft cross that would be perfect for fox hunting, dressage, eventing, and trail riding. Duchess is a beautiful mover and so comfortable to ride with her floaty trot and rocking horse canter. She has a great brain and aims to please.... (read more) Duchess has a nice foundation under saddle. She moves off the seat and leg and also responds to voice commands. She is consistent in the contact and nicely forward with easy transitions. Ride her in the arena or take her out for a trail ride. She is used to riding around dogs, farm equipment, traffic, and bicycles. She will ride out alone or in company. Duchess likes to lead but will happily follow along. She is sweet and willing with the best temperament! Duchess enjoys grooming, body clipping, smiling for treats, and spending time with her riders. She would be perfect for a rider that wants the appearance and temperament of a Gypsy Vanner but needs a bigger horse that can carry a heavier or taller rider. Duchess has nice barefoot hooves and is current on shots, Coggins, hoof trimming, deworming, and floating. She is happy to live in or out.
