I can't believe we are selling this horse, but my son has decided he is too tall for him.
Viking had a strong classical foundation in professional training as a three-year-old and in his fourth year he received lots of positive experiences in many diverse sports.
Other than brief instruction rides in a lesson, Viking has only been ridden by an experienced youth (trainer's son) who weighs all of 90 pounds. Viking is a large bone horse and at 15.... (read more) 3 he has a huge stride and floating trot.
His list of experiences include:
Many trips horse camping
Riding in the mountains out west
Moving cattle
Swimming at the beach many times
Multiple entry level jump clinics
Several AERC distance rides with honors from the vets (he won best condition after his last event)
Multiple Working Equitation Shows (this includes obstacles and dressage) where he qualified for zone finals
As a strong young horse with an excellent start, Viking is well set up to pursue a diverse range of sports. He is very good natured and easy to catch and responds very well to training. Viking gets along great with other horses both in turn out and on trail and he remains controllable even when other horses are speeding ahead or riding away. Viking has a huge floating stride and steady canter and demonstrates athleticism ideal for development in collection or forward disciplines. He has not been overridden to raced, though he has shown tremendous speed when asked.
Registered through the AHA registry as a half Arab, Viking can also obtain his papers through the NSH registry.
