Missouri’s Silver Sailor (Sailor) is a very handsome 5-year-old Missouri Fox Trotter Gelding (Reg#18-105650). Stands 15.0 hands and is the grandson of Missouri Traveler E. Sailor was started under saddle as a four-year-old and has been hitting the trails during his five-year-old year. Sailor is a sweet boy that needs to bond with his rider but also has a great willing mind. He is not lazy nor hot. He is perfectly willing to go but not high key either.... (read more) His disposition is the in between that is such a rarity. Sailor willingly navigates terrain at your desired speed. Crosses water, logs and handles rocky and smooth terrain. He has been exposed to groups of 2-4 horses over the last 4 months on 1-4 trail rides each week at 7-12 miles per ride. Sailor is willing to be the leader, middle of the pack or bring up the rear. He is also perfectly willing to ride solo.

Sailor is comfortable at a trail walk, flat foot walk, fox trot, running walk and canter. When gaiting faster he prefers to running walk and is SMOOTH! He has been exposed to deer, turkey, squirrels, armadillos, hikers, hunters and traffic. Sailor is not spooky and does not have big reactions. When he is unsure, he will stop and look but even this is rare for him.

Sailor leads, loads, backs out, clips, baths, shoes, stands at tied at the trailer calmly.

Missouri’s Silver Sailor is looking for his very own rider. He is suitable for intermediate and above riders as he is very levelheaded and willing.
