If you're searching for warmblood good-looks with a quiet draft brain, then look no further. Meet Adira, a young draft cross mare that exudes athleticism, kindness and even temperament. She is truly the best of both worlds! Adira stands a lovely 16.1 hands and is the perfect size for a taller or larger rider who wants the benefits of a draft without the massive height. Although green, she shows aptitude for a range of disciples and I think this mare is going to shine in the dressage arena or the evening/fox hunting field.... (read more) She's a lovely mover and is fluid and graceful under saddle...and comfortable! She was well-started at the walk, trot, canter in her previous home and was also trail ridden. Adira is currently in a professional dressage program and is showing to be mature beyond her years. She is soft in the bridle, moves well off your leg, and is starting some simple lateral work. In addition to her outstanding dressage potential, she also shows an aptitude for jumping and is quiet and willing over small jumps. Outside of the arena, she stands still to be groomed, bathed, clipped, braided, etc. She is barefoot, and is wonderful for the farrier (my farrier commented that she was the best young horse he has worked on in a long time). She travels well, is brave (she has been walked over a tarp and lead behind an ATV), and is a pleasure to have around. Adira would be a wonderful and rewarding project for an experienced adult amateur or professional to bring along.
