Beautiful black Fox Trotter with a super long flowing tail that naturally drags the ground. She looks like a mini Friesian, so regal. Her barn name is "Eclipse" because she looks like a total eclipse of the sun, black!
Eclipse is very bold on the trail. Nothing seems to bother her. She is not spooky and will go anywhere you point her. She loves to be the line leader and lead the way. She will also go behind other horses and doesn't have any issues but she does excel as the leader if given the chance.... (read more) In a herd situation she is the boss mare so she takes that boldness out on the trail too. When riding she is all business. If there is a trail ahead she is going to go on it. We have had lots of different riders on her including my very beginner husband and kids friends they bring to ride. She is easy to ride and very responsive and we never have to worry about her ever doing anything wrong. However, she is not a dead head. Don't let her age fool you. She will go if given the chance. Especially if she is out in front she can really walk out and move. She will also ride alone. Although we almost always go in a group since we have kids and friends always wanting to ride.
We have had her on all kinds of trails and camping, overnighting tied on high lines etc. She has been on several Missouri Fox Trotter National Trail Rides and is Nominated for Fox Trot America
She stands to be mounted, hauls and loads great, and stands like a statue for the farrier. No vices to mention.
She is sane and sound and no signs of slowing down. Current on vaccinations and worming, teeth done shoes on and current coggins.
