Denny (as we affectionately call him) is a 2022 Gypsy Vanner stallion looking for a new home. He should measure up to right around 14hh, or a bit over that, at full maturity and is EE aa W20/W20 Dd. He is the one and only Grulla Blagdon horse in the GVHS registry as GV10521. He is one of two foals out of our San Cler Bridget Athol-Brose who is the matriarch of one of the three Dun gene lineages that are active in the United States today within the GVHS.... (read more) Denny is uniquely marked with white splash lines up his left, rear leg and backside. He inherited beautiful variegation in the color of his mane. He should be a beefy boy like his sire, RiverPointe Numero Uno and his dam (she’s a very heavy girl). Denny is PSSM1 and FIS negative by testing. He has Coates lines and The Heavy Horse of Wales in his pedigree on his sire’s side, while his dam is foundation stock imported from San Cler. Denny is in the middle of the top of the dominance hierarchy with paddock mates. We have a number of older, larger, pregnant mares (and a beefy yearling) that he lives with that keeps him from getting too big of a head. Denny was originally acquired to provide some chances of Dun-gened foals for us, and because we love his pedigree and conformation qualities. It has been a hard decision for us, but now that we have multiple Dun-gened mares, he might not have a fulltime job on our farm with how closely related he is to many of these mares on his sire’s side.
